This site keeps cookies to a minimum. Here's exactly what we set, when, and why — in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

Cookies we set ourselves

This cookie is strictly necessary — the login can't function securely without it — so under PECR it's exempt from requiring consent. You won't see a cookie banner if you're just browsing the site, because this cookie is never set for you.

Third-party cookies (only if you choose to load a video)

On our Reviews page, some guest reviews include a video hosted on YouTube or Vimeo. We don't load these players automatically — you'll see a placeholder that only loads the real video when you click "Load Video," or when you accept cookies via the banner. Once loaded, that provider's own cookies apply:

What we do not use

• No analytics or tracking cookies (e.g. Google Analytics) are currently installed on this site.
• No advertising or retargeting cookies.
• No cross-site tracking of any kind.

If that changes in future — for example, if analytics are added later — this policy and the consent banner will be updated to reflect it before anything new is switched on.

External resources that aren't cookies, but are worth knowing about

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts and icons from a Font Awesome CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com). Loading these means your browser makes a direct request to Google's/Cloudflare's servers for those files, which can expose your IP address to them, separately from any cookie. Neither currently sets tracking cookies in our configuration.
